Captain Phil Walters

Phil has been involved with the public water harvest since 1990. He has harvested more than 1000 alligators on the harvests, with a few going over 13' and one 13'6" that is pictured at right.  He enjoys getting out on the water and sharing the uniqueness of the alligator story with folks who "have it in them" to see a slice of real Florida that cannot be experienced from comforts of home.  Phil founded Gator guides in 1993 to offer professional harvest skills to the people chosen in the September Public Waters Harvest and has now expanded to offer trophy hunts on public and private lands.

Captain Nelson Peebles

Captain Nelson Peebles is a native Floridian (i.e. endangered species) and grew up in the woods and on the water.  After lettering three years in football and graduating from Zephryhills High Nelson spent 18 years as a manager at GTE. Currently Nelson is self employed in the investment industry which gives him the freedom to hunt and fish at will.  Nelson has hunted gators since 1993 and his personal best was a monster 13'9" which is a co-record for Lake Hancock.  Nelson loves to share his experience with the folks that he hunts with.

Captain Bruce Castle

Captain Castle hunts from his high performance 350 Chevy powered 14' Freedom Craft Airboat in east Central Florida waters. His experiences have spanned from the sawgrass of the Everglades to the deep wide waters of Lake George, Florida's second largest lake. Captain Castle believes in "hands on" hunting for his clients, taking the time on each trip to insure a pleasurable & safe experience for you & an a not so pleasant experience for the alligator.
